On the 4th November 2021 the Barkly Region School Swimming Carnival was held at the Tennant Creek Swimming Pool. The Event was very successful with 192 students from 11 Regional schools competing at the event which was organised by School Sport NT with assistance from Swimming NT.
Of the schools attending 9 are considered remote, the furthest being 350km from Tennant Creek.
Events on the day ranged from Aqua Aerobics followed by competitive swimming and fun races on inflatable boats at the conclusion.
Congratulations to the winners, Elliot Area School (pictured above) on their win. A great effort by all students involved. Second place went to Canteen Creek School.
