Our NT Swimmers have made a splash at the Australian Age and Australian Open Championships held at the Gold Coast, QLD from the 7th April 2023.
Swimming NT wish to congratulate all of our swimmers who travelled to QLD on their achievements and successes at these Championships.
News from the Age Championships:
Bayleigh Young, Chloe Reader, Sampson Gee, James Smith, Melissa Roberts, Patrick Brown and Macey Sheridan all competed in the Age Championships. All achieved countless Personal Bests and broke many NT Records. Your hard work and dedication to your sport is to be commended and we will all look forward to hearing of your experiences in QLD when you have returned.
Congratulations go to Bayleigh Young who qualified for his first ever National Final at this event.
Congratulations also go to Macey Sheridan who came home with 6 gold medals from her events. For more details regarding Macey's achievements at this meet please check out the Swimming NT Facebook.
News from the Australian National Championships:
Sienna and Tamsyn Walo both competed in the National Championships at the Gold Coast in QLD which followed on from the Age Championships. Both girls competed extremely well within a very strong field.
Congratulations to Tamsyn who competed in her first ever National Final and swam a competitive 2.26.92sec 200IM and Sienna as well who brought home a bronze medal in the 50 Breaststroke with a 32.52sec.
