On the 11th February 2023, 23 swimmers competed in the SNT Desert Qualifier meet at the Alice Springs Swimming Pool.
This was a great opportunity for swimmers to gain experience in competitive events and also to achieve qualifying times for the upcoming 2023 City of Darwin NT Open & Age Championships at the start of March. Congratulations to all swimmers on your achievements over the weekend!
Between the Competitive Swimming sessions a Technical Official Seminar was held which covered a variety of subjects to give our volunteers some insight into volunteering as a Technical Official. Thank you to all who attended this session.
Ed Ferrer, Pathways Manager, Swimming NT also delivered some skills sessions during squad training with swimmers from the Alice Springs Swimming Club.
A big thank you to our host Alice Springs Swimming Club for your assistance with this meet and also our Technical Manager, Kate Reynolds and Technical Official, Kathleen Rochford for travelling to Alice Springs to officiate.
We will look forward to catching up with everyone when we are next in Alice Springs.
