2020 McDonalds Open Water Championships

SNTI Competitive Members $20 per event Non-Members -$35 per event 

Events:

Covid-19 restrictions: Due to social distancing measures events will run with a staggered start, Participants will be maxed at 100 across all events. We ask for spectators and groups to not gather and follow social distancing measures while in attendance. Parents, Athletes and spectators are asked not to attend if feeling unwell.

Entries Open: 5^th August 2020 10am       (Darwin Local Time)

Entries Close: 26^th August 2020 12noon (Darwin Local Time)

NB. All competing athletes MUST check in and attend the race briefings as outlined above.

Program:

Full Program will be available on the 2020 NT Open Water Championships Event Page (https://nt.swimming.org.au/events/2020-mcdonalds-open-water-championships) at 12noon 27^th August 2020. Athletes & Team Mangers should download and print their own copies before the event. There will be NO programs available for purchase on the day.

Rules:

Conducted under the rules of Swimming Australia Ltd

Competitors in 7.5km and 10km will be allowed to feed from the pontoon from the start of the combined event (these competitors will be required to either wear a wrist band or swim cap supplied by SNTI).

Officials:

SNTI is seeking officials from all clubs to assist with this meet. Parents of all Swimming NT competitors under 18 will be required to assist.

Awards:

Medals will be awarded as age groups listed under ‘events’ section of outline to the 1^st,2^nd & 3^rd Male place getters and the 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd Female place getters in the 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km & 10km events.

Prize money on will be awarded ONLY to the 5km & 10km events as the following:

1^st Place $300, 2^nd Place $200, 3^rd Place $100, 4^th Place $50- Female

1^st Place $300, 2^nd Place $200, 3^rd Place $100, 4^th Place $50- Male
