Covid-19 restrictions: Due to social distancing measures events will run with a staggered start, Participants will be maxed at 100 across all events. We ask for spectators and groups to not gather and follow social distancing measures while in attendance. Parents, Athletes and spectators are asked not to attend if feeling unwell.

Entries Close: 26th August 2020 12noon (Darwin Local Time)

NB. All competing athletes MUST check in and attend the race briefings as outlined above.

 

Program:

Full Program will be available on the 2020 NT Open Water Championships Event Page (https://nt.swimming.org.au/events/2020-mcdonalds-open-water-championships) at 12noon 27th August 2020. Athletes & Team Mangers should download and print their own copies before the event. There will be NO programs available for purchase on the day.

 

Rules:

 

Conducted under the rules of Swimming Australia Ltd

 

Competitors in 7.5km and 10km will be allowed to feed from the pontoon from the start of the combined event (these competitors will be required to either wear a wrist band or swim cap supplied by SNTI).

 

Officials:

SNTI is seeking officials from all clubs to assist with this meet. Parents of all Swimming NT competitors under 18 will be required to assist.

 

 

 

 

Awards:

Medals will be awarded as age groups listed under ‘events’ section of outline to the 1st,2nd & 3rd Male place getters and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Female place getters in the 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km & 10km events.

 

Prize money on will be awarded ONLY to the 5km & 10km events as the following:

 

1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100, 4th Place $50- Female

1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100, 4th Place $50- Male

Covid-19:

If you have any symptoms or are feeling unwell you should stay home. 

Swimming NT will not be providing any water drinking facilities in line of hygiene guidelines, Attendees must bring there own Water & Snacks.

All attendees must social distance and abide by directions on the day. Hand sanitizer will be available on the day available
